First 3D scene, first AI experiments

No gameplay yet. We’re composing 3D scenes to see how the game might look.

Desert scene

Four cars, open ground, a base on the horizon. The scene is static — no controls, no shooting, no physics. Muzzle flashes and the HUD on some shots are dressing, not a build.

Four cars in the desert in front of a base

What we took away:

  • The base anchors the frame. Without it the composition falls apart.
  • Distances read poorly. We need landmarks at mid-range to bridge near and far.
  • Empty plains stay empty. Next pass: ridges, debris, wrecked cars.

Generative AI

Testing where AI tools save time and where they damage the result.

Prompt: a “Survival Rust Machine” logo.

“Survaival.” “Surviival.” Style — yes. Text — no.

Five minutes to a stylistic reference. The final logo still needs a human.

Next

  • Develop the scene: a road, a mining spot, cover.
  • Use AI for moodboards; final assets from a human.
  • Steam page in parallel.
